Bill Chell
died on Tuesday 12th November 2019. Along with Joy his wife he was the mainstay of Staffordshire Moorlands club for many years, a decent rider and enthusiastic, tough and strictly fair observer until ill health forced his retirement from the sport. He will be sadly missed. His well attended funeral was on Wednesday December 4th at 11:30 a.m. at Carmountside Crematorium, Leek Road, Stoke on Trent. ST2 7AB.

Harry South and Ian Dommett
made the Northern Experts Trial their swan song for observing after decades. Harry is currently Manchester 17's observer of the year having travelled all the way from his home on the North Wales coast to observe at all our major events for as long as anyone can remember. Ian Dommet, Harrys pal, ex Cheshire & North Wales Centre Permit Sec and hard working trials organiser who usually observes with Harry has been struggling with poor eyesight to the point he is now unable to observe. The Team at Man 17 thought it would be good to give em something of a keep sake to remind them of the fun they've had over the years helping run trials. Vernon Leigh one of the huge characters of motorcycling in Cheshire died on Saturday 21st September. His funeral took place at Rowan Chapel Stockport crematorium on Tuesday 1st October at 10:45AM

21 August 2019 - Ron Baker, Carls Dad has died, Ron was a long standing enthusiast and great help in observing at most of our BIG events over many years - he'll be much missed. A service for Ron Baker's life took place at Christ Church Woodford SK7 1PR 4th on September @ 12:00 noon.

John Brittain 1932-2019 Photo here
I regret to report that Trials Legend John Brittain has passed away after a short illness,John was born at Wom bourne near Wolverhampton in 1932, his father Vic was a trials and TT rider winning many Gold Medals. John was a legend in motorcycle trials winning 13 Gold Medals in the International Six Days Trial, he was a member of the winning team in 1953; the last time Britain won the event. John won the Scottish Six Days and the Scott Trials on two occasions, British Trials Champion and British Experts winner. John won over 50 National Trials in a career which spanned twenty years. He rode for the DMW and James factory teams but will be most remembered for his association with the Royal Enfield brand where he enjoyed most of his success. John remained an ambassador for the Royal Enfield until his death. In later years he became a dairy farmer at Ramshorn in Staffordshire, actively involved in the business until very recently. He is survived by brother Pat, wife Wendy and daughters Heidi and Trudi. He was a true gentleman who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
