MAN 17 MEMBERS SSDT 2009 OUTING
IN WHAT TURNED OUT TO BE ONE OF THE TOUGHEST SSDT's WITH THE WEATHER
CONDITIONS AWFUL ALL WEEK THE BOYS RODE REALLY WELL. EVERY DAY IT
RAINED, SLEETED OR HAILED. THE RIVERS WERE INCREDIBLY HIGH WITH SECTIONS
HAVING TO BE REMOVED AS WELL AS THE ROUTE FOR THURSDAY COMPLETELY
ALTERED AT SHORT NOTICE AS IT WAS DEEMED IMPASSABLE AND TOO DANGEROUS.
OUT OF A START OF 278 RIDERS THE BOYS' FINISHED:

CRAIG ROBINSON........24th
LIAM ROBINSON.........89th
IAIN ROBINSON.........102nd
NOT PICTURED WAS JOHN SHIRT, WHO FINISHED A VERY CREDIBLE 12th,
IMROVING ON HIS 24TH PLACE OF 2008.
FOR CRAIG, THIS AGAIN GIVES HIM A TOP 10% POSITION,
WHILST LIAM HAS MOVED UP FROM 112TH IN 2008. FOR IAIN, TO COME UP
AGAINST SUCH APPALLING CONDITIONS IN HIS FIRST ATTEMPT WAS A MAJOR
CHALLENGE WHICH HE MET AND MET WELL - AN IMPRESSIVE START!
AS WELL AS COMPETING FOR THEMSELVES BROTHERS CRAIG & LIAM ALONG WITH
JOHN , RODE AS A TEAM FOR THE MANCHESTER
17 MCC. TOGETHER THEY FINISHED A HIGHLY COMPETITIVE
4TH IN THEIR CATEGORY AND 10th PLACE
